A Midsummer Night’s Prom Dream

April 27 @ 3:00 pm - 8:00 pm

| $10

We look forward to welcoming you to the Annual Adolescent Program Spring Theatre Production – A Midsummer Night’s Prom Dream by Chelsea Petty!

“Lord, what fools these mortals be!”

So says Robin Puck, the mischievous fairy-turned-nerd in this modern adaptation of the Shakespeare classic where the “fairies” become the smart kids with science as their magic. The “mechanicals” are now a wanna-be rock band auditioning to be the chosen band at prom, the “royals” are the school’s administrators, and the “sweethearts” are four teenagers headed to prom. Obie’s girlfriend Tanya splits up with him again and stole their latest research data, but Obie won’t be outdone. He entrusts his best friend, Robin, to test out his new secret elixir that causes love at first sight. Chaos ensues when Robin dumps the experiment in the punch bowl on prom night, where the star football player Derrick and artistic outcast Zander fight over the popular girl Mia, who only has eyes for the “bad boy.” To really complicate things, her younger sister Helen likes Derrick, but he doesn’t even know she’s alive! Throw in the world’s worst rock band with a pompous and arrogant lead singer (who is accidentally turned green), and that’s A Midsummer Night’s Prom Dream!

There will be a 3 PM and a 7 PM showing.

Doors open one hour to curtain. Seating is first come, first seated. Tickets are $10 at the door.

All proceeds will go towards continuing the expansion of our burgeoning theatre program.
